It is without question that Robert Babicz is one of our generation’s finest producers. The recent release of his ‘Immortal Changes’ album sent his fans and music press alike, into a frenzy. Falling over themselves to lavish the artist with well earned praise.

In March we brought you the first of the ‘Vinyl Edition’ Remix series, that featured a stunning rework from Stimming alongside the original of ‘Chordy’ and Robert’s own incredible ‘Fever’ mix of the modern classic ‘Dark Flower’. That first package drew huge support and rave reviews. As good as it gets? Not a chance. Prepare yourself for the stunning ‘Part 2′, featuring new visions from Maetrik, Gorge and Kollektiv Turmstrasse.

First up and delivering his take on the wonderful ‘Chordy’ is a young producer, cut from the same mold as Babicz himself. A student on sonics, Valencian, Maetrik. Staying true to the original, he adds a little grit and gives some teeth to already weighty bassline. Spooky and expansive, but brilliant.

Taking the same track on groovy deep house ride is none other than 8Bit head honcho and Systematic regular, Gorge. The Mannheim producer, who’s 2009 remix of Chelonis R. Jones’ ‘Pompadour’ is still a huge favourite, gives ‘Chordy’ a killer ‘strut’. Matching the growling bassline and smooth as silk synths to fantastic effect.

On the flip we kick things off with the original of ‘Come Closer’. Jazzy snares and hats are the back bone to this melodic beauty, who’s huge moody synths and dreamy flow create yet another Babicz masterpiece.

Remixing ‘Come Closer’ we are delighted to welcome the always in form, Kollektiv Turmstrasse, who turn in a remix that may surprise some. Whilst keeping things deep as ever, KT take a more twisted, down tempo path.
